I 5 momenti migliori degli MTV VMA 2022
Domenica 28 agosto si sono tenuti gli MTV Video Music Awards 2022 al Prudential Center di Newark, N.J.
Una serata ricca di performance, momenti da ricordare, look stravaganti e soprattutto premi.
Doja Cat, Jack Harlow e Harry Styles hanno fatto incetta di nomination: otto ciascuno. Nicki Minaj è stata la vincitrice del Video Vanguard Award, mentre i Red Hot Chili Peppers sono stati nominati “Global Icons”.
Ma a vincere il premio più ambito, ovvero Video of the year, è stata Taylor Swift con All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version), che ha fatto incetta di premi. Al termine del suo ultimo discorso, la popstar ha anche annunciato la data di uscita del suo prossimo disco: 21 ottobre 2022.
Harry Styles, invece, ha trionfato nella categoria Album of the year.
I 5 MOMENTI MIGLIORI DEI VMA:
1. MANESKIN
Il video della loro ‘I Wanna Be Your Slave’ ha trionfato nella categoria Best Alternative battendo Avril Lavigne, Imagine Dragons, Machine Gun Kelly, Panic! At the Disco, Twenty One Pilots e Willow. Per la prima volta nella storia dei VMA, un artista italiano vince in una delle principali categorie internazionali. Ma a far parlare non è stato tanto il premio vinto, quanto l’esibizione dei Maneskin che hanno cantato Supermodel. La loro performance, infatti, è stata in gran parte censurata con le telecamere che si sono allontanate dal palco per un lungo lasso di tempo. Sia per il look di Damiano che mostrava le chiappe, sia per Victoria che ha avuto un inconveniente con il vestito, che le ha lasciato il seno scoperto. Lei ha continuato a suonare, ma la regia dei VMA ha censurato ogni inquadratura dell’artista, sostituendola con un filmato del pre-serata.
2. BAD BUNNY
È stato incoronato Artist Of The Year e ha cantato Tití Me Preguntó. Un’esibizione di cui tutti stanno parlando per il bacio che Bad Bunny si è scambiato con uno dei suoi ballerini.
3. LIL NAS X
Industry Baby di Lil Nas X e Jack Harlow ha trionfato nella categoria Best Collaboration. L’artista ovviamente non è passato inosservato e ci ha regalato uno dei suoi outfit migliori e più stravaganti firmato YSL.
4. EMINEM E SNOOP DOGG
Non hanno vinto niente, ma hanno portato in scena la loro tanto attesa performance nel metaverso, ma soprattutto erano di nuovo sul palco degli MTV VMA insieme dopo ben 23 anni.
5. JACK HARLOW
Ha aperto gli MTV Video Music Awards 2022 e nel bel mezzo della sua esibizione di First Class, è stato raggiunto sul palco da Fergie, che ha eseguito Glamourous.
L’anno scorso, ai VMA, Harlow ha eseguito con Lil Nas X Industry Baby, che ha fatto incetta di premi: Video of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Direction e Best Art Direction ed è stato anche nominato nelle Best Visual Effects e Best Choreography, mentre Harlow ha ottenuto un’altra nomination come artista dell’anno. Il suo album più recente è May’s Come Home the Kids Miss You.
