Donda, il nuovo singolo di Kanye West dedicato alla mamma

Domenica (12 luglio) Kanye West ha pubblicato un nuovo singolo su Twitter in memoria della madre che proprio ieri avrebbe compiuto 71 anni.

“In loving memory of my incredible mother on her birthday. My mom reciting KRS1 lyrics This song is called DONDA,” ha scritto su Twitter.

 

 

 

 

In gran parte del brano viene letto un versetto della canzone del 1993, Sound of da Police, di KRS-ONE. Verso la fine, Kanye rappa su un campione accelerato di The Clark Sisters e del singolo evangelico di Mattie Moss Clark They Were Overcome (By the Word).

Kanye ha aveva un rapporto molto stretto con la mamma, deceduta nel 2007 in segiuto a complicazioni dopo un intervento chirurgico.
